WHAT IS BETTER ON PAPER?

Eight passionate sports journalists get together weekly to review the week in sport, preview the week ahead, and interview sportspeople from grass roots all the way to the big time…

all with a healthy dose of banter.

Show Hosts

Put a face to the voices.

David

David Zita

An AFL & Tennis fanatic, David can be relied on for Geelong bias, knowledge of obscure tennis players, & blatant refusal to wear anything other than a suit.

Josh

Joshua Dawe

A Hawthorn tragic, Joshua has never known true suffering. He is known for his dulcet tones, excessive drinking, & an irritating tendency to be overly kind.

Benjamin Savona

Quite possibly the only person with knowledge on EVERY sport ever invented, Ben is passionate about all things sport, & is more than willing to talk about it... preferably while drinking a beer.

Melissa

Melissa Haase

'The Smiling Assassin.' AFL, Cricket, Tennis, F1... you name it, chances are Mel has some strong opinions on it. She also believes the Violet Crumble to be a 'good' chocolate. Take her opinions with a grain of salt.

Finn Devlin

Finn 'The Guru' Devlin is a Brisbane Lions & Arsenal tragic. When not rambling on about 'Victorian Bias', he can be found wearing his iconic, unwashed 'Wenger Out' t-shirt, or reciting random facts about the early 2000s.

Lou

Louis Gillett

An avid Tigers fan, Louis was not sighted for several days following Richmond's 2017 Premiership. A great bloke and an even greater sports nut, you can find Lou in a crowd by looking for his infamous barrel chest, or, of course, his flammable hair.

Jarrod McAleese

The enigma of the group. With an average build, Jarrod shouldn't be able to achieve the supersonic speeds he does on the running track, or make the amount of runs he does on the cricket pitch. A pearler of a bloke, Jarrod is a Melbourne supporter, and for that we will be forever sympathetic to his cause.

Alessandro Barilaro

Some say it is unhealthy the amount of knowledge Alex has on soccer. Alex refutes this constantly, insisting his expertise & passion for the round ball game are the same as he has for any other religion.
